I have recently acquired a Braun PC3 sv in mint condition, I know this is not high end equipment but would be interested to know if its worth using or just leave it to gather dust.

I read somewhere that it would be a bad idea to use one to play modern records on, it would damage the vinyl as it will be intended for use with mono vinyl recordings? I have never used vinyl so I know very little about the format, is this true?

Its my wife who has the records, mostly 60s and 70s stuff.

Any advice would be very welcome, cheers.
