Hi folks :)

I am choosing between two small bookshelf speakers:

- Tannoy Mercury V1

- Q Acoustics 2010/2010i

They costs more or less the same. I want two of them, later will buy center and surround. But I will use them for music too.

I am able to audition QAs but Tannoys are impossible to hear. So I cannot decide. Which do you think are better? Or more suitable for me?

I want speaker better for music then movies (from my experience, even bad speakers do movies okay). I listen to many kind of styles (except pop, hiphop, hard metal styles, trance).

I do not plan using subwoofer in future (family, neighbours and personaly I never like that big basses from sub). I have small room (2x4 metres)..

I do not think there are any other speaker in this price that fit my needs - speakers must not has more depth than 20cm OR width must be less then 17cm. Hard to explain, it's just the limitation of my shelf :(

So, I would like to ask if anyone had hear these two speakers and can compare them?

I can see only that

- Tannoys are bigger (better basses?)

- Tannoys has bassreflex, QAs are closed boxes (don't know what difference it makes..)
