99% of audiophiles accept expensive cables?!!!! Come on Jason, where did you come up with that number? And yes, when I first seen the AMEX commercial, it did make me smile. I have purchased stuff from MD over the years. But now that you explained that it was a "set", no wonder it looked kinda too dressy, cus' I always thought it was a warehouse. To be fair they really should do an Acoustic Sounds commercial also. I have prefered Acoustic Sounds more and more , why? Because what Chad K. has done with his recording studio, in the refurbed church is really, really impressive. I wanna support his efforts, they are really incredible. And it shows, he is not just a seller of other people's work, but a real afficinado of music, and making sure the work is recorded from some of the greats in music.
but I digress, 99% accept expensive cables? No way, nope. Not ones that understand basic electrical and electronics. Only those who read ads, and inane verbage from stores and mfgs., and loony reviewers that claim to hear things in space, or in their imagination. With no specs, no reality based testing. Terms that is increased the palpibilty, coherence, space, blah blah blah. Nonsense.
