Jazz quartet and Stereophile recording stars Attention Screen played as a trio Sunday August 12, at Jimmy's Stage 43 in the East Village. Drummer Mark Flynn was away at a music educators' conference so NY sticksman Dee Pop was scheduled to take his place. Dee couldn't make the gig, unfortunately, but the band rocked, nevertheless.

Bassist Chris Jones made his debut on 10-string Chapman Stick -- a very strange instrument that is played by tapping the strings with both hands -- while guitarist Don Fiorino performed on an 11-string fretless instrument.
