My wife has a very small jvc unit in the bedroom for casual listening when I am not around. Its a top of the line compact unit, but nothing very fancy, although the sq is not bad from such a unit. Yesterday after her repeated requests, I put up speaker stands on the two extremes of the room (the speakers were placed right next to the player before) and placed the control unit with one of the speakers to make less clutter. To my surprise and shock, the image, that was perfectly dead center before, now seems to be coming from the speaker on the right (the one next to the control unit). The left speaker had to be extended by cable to a length of about 10 meters which was done with new cable attached/paired with the original cable the speaker has..I tried changing the polarity but not much improvement in the image and sound. Can you tell me what the issue could be and how to resolve it please?
