I'm looking to by the Anthem Integrated 225 and need to pair it with some serviceable speakers. Ideally, I want to pair this integrated amp with Paradigm speakers, it's sister company. The Anthem Integrated 225 boasts 225 wpc, but the speakers within my budget (Paradigm Mini Monitor and Paradigm Monitor 7) have a recommended amplifier power less than 225 watts (according to Stereophile's 2011 Buyer's Guide). Am I doing myself a disservice by getting such a powerful integrated amp? If the Anthem's wpc is greater than the speakers' recommended watts, how will it sound? By the way, I a decided on the Anthem due to all the reviews I've seen online. I see nothing but good reviews especially for the price.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
