B&W 603 Canadian street price?

I was a bit taken back when I saw the sticker price of $1700 Canadian. The forums etc often show a "paid price" of $900 USD (or about $1050 Canadian). What gives? I could understand a slight markup due to volume etc, but 60%?

Can anyone provide Canadian street pricing for the B&W 603?
