I'm the original owner of a pair of B&W CDM 1NT's and I was wondering if anyone here has ever really listened to a pair of NHT Classic threes (newest version w/aluminum woofer, not one reviewed in Stereophile)and could tell me if they're on par with the B&W's or not?

I have an opportunity to buy a brand new pair (unopened box of the Classic Threes at a very discounted price and wondered if they could even replace the B&W's that I bought in either 02 or 03. I'd have to go through my box of receipts to be positive as to the year of purchase but I believe they're about 8 years old.

One concern I have and maybe its unfounded is how much longer can I expect the CDM 1NT's to last, they've always been kept in a non-smoking air conditioned environment. I drive them with a Parasound Halo amp but never to extreme levels.

I still have the original box that the 1NT's came in and the manual but I haven't checked yet to see what they're selling for at this time when in near mint condition.

Thanks so much in advance for any feedback you can give.
