Hola, I've been wondering about some cable things lately...

Is there an industry other than Hi FI that requires cables/wires be used "pointing/conducting" in the "right" direction?

Same goes for fuses.

Is there another industry that requires high definition fuses for any applications?

It seems that with all the different very sensitive enterprises out that that require the "Nth" degree of sensitivity, low noise, etc... that we'd see these concepts popping up in realms other than Hi Fi.

Do any other industries claim that directionality of fuses is important?

Learning about other applications and how these things affect other applications could go a long way toward helping us learn about placebo vs. actual affects in Hi Fi reproduction.

On a related note: For digital cable, would a fair measurement system include "speed" of data transmission, error rate, etc...?

It seems it may be easiest to measure differences between digital cables.

(Pardon me if this has been done. I may have just forgotten.)
