I am not really sure where to post this query. I was recently flipping through the November, 2008 issue, and Sam Tellig mentions that the Cary CDP1 is his current reference. I refer back to the April, 2007 issue in which he discusses that player, as well as the Rega Saturn. His conclusion was that he was not sure which to purchase.
So far as I know, he is the only reviewer to review the Rega Saturn. Yet recommended components has the Rega listed in Class A, and the Cary in Class B. Since it appears that Sam was the only reviewer to live with both players, I am curious as to why the player he did not buy is in Class A, and the player he did buy in Class B, since it seems that he is likely the primary source for both listings.
