Hey guys,

I just started putting together my first 2 channel system...
I have an NAD 1240 preamp, NAD 4225 Tuner, and NAD 2400 Power amp. I am really pleased with the performance of these components so far but my cd player is a crappy old kenwood that sounds like trash. I really like the NAD components I have so far, they really look nice together. I have been looking at NAD cd players and found a nice NAD 5170 6+1 cd player. The problem is its from 1988. I have heard from multiple sources that CD players have come a long way from the 80's and I would be better buying a more modern player for a cheaper price. Just wondering if this is true?

Also if I went with a newer player does anyone have experience with the NAD c525bee or the Arcam cd73t
