I am new here. I posted another thread about adding a hifi CD player to my system. Got some good feedback already, thanks. I was going to add this new question to that thread but thought this might be worthy of a separate short discussion.
When I got back into the audio hobby about a year ago, I came into it quite 'cold' even in regards to understanding some basics.
I learned this from some of what I considered to be mentors when I was making my initial plans for the system:
" A $70 disc player from a mega mart will sound exactly the same as $6000 super-end audiofile player if connected digitally (coax, toslink..)"
Is this true?
