I originally purchased a Denon AVR-S930W to go with some low range Def Techs. I didn't like the Def Techs and found a great deal on a pair of B&W CM9s plus CM5s for the rear. I listen to two channel quite a bit but also home theatre. I also have an SVS sub.
Now I'm deciding if there is an advantage to move to the Denon AVR-X series of receivers. Probably the AVR-X3400 or AVR-X4300. I know the AVR-X series offers more features, but I have no idea if the sound quality (amps/preamps) are better.
Obviously I could look at Marantz, but same question if the actual parts in them are better than the AVR-S930W since the two share so much.
The CM9s so not sound bad with the AVR-X930W, but I wonder if there would be an improvement going to the AVR-X receivers?
Thanks in advance.
