Hi,
I recently purchased a Rega Planar 2 turntable and have enjoyed listening to my old vinyl. Ideally I'd like to digitise this vinyl and have used Roxio in the past, but the quality of the recordings have been really poor.
The rest of my equipment dates back to the 1990s; Arcam Alpha 5 amp, Mission 780 speakers and Marantz 6004 CD player. When trying to record vinyl in the past, I have used the line out from my amp, into the Roxio box, which then connects to my PC.
I've heard good things about using Audacity, which I can load onto my PC. But the question is, what will give me the best sound in connecting my turntable / amp to my PC?
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thank you
