One of the premises JA offered in support of concern about the future of the high end was the increasing median age of Stereophile subscribers over time. I don't know how many subscribers the magazine has currently, but as I note the growth in the number of registered users of the forum and recognize that birth date is included in the registration I'm curious how the distribution of forum users by age might be panning out. My guess is that it might offer a more hopeful picture.
I'm assuming that the vast bulk of forum users are also subscribers, but I don't know how a population of 1100-1200 stacks up against the size of the subscriber list.
