Hello all,
I hope you folks might be able to help me with a technical question for my first post.
I am in the process of converting my cd collection to flac files I can store on a media server.
Using EAC to create the flac files, I am presented with a screen that shows the uncompressed and compressed sizes of each track. Once the flac file has been generated a much larger file is produced from what EAC originally displays.
For example EAC shows "Thing called love", which is the first track on the live Bonnie Rait "Road tested" cd as being 48.44mb uncompressed for the 04:48 track. The compressed size is displayed as 27mb. On completion the flac file is 35.88mb. Does this seem reasonable or should the resulting file be similar to the 27mb displayed in EAC.
Thanks for your help
