Hi everybody,
I'm new to this forum, but I have been reading Stereophile on and off for about 10 years and I think its great there is an online forum. Anyways, I recently tried ear candling on a friend's advice. As I just learned, ear candles are spiral tubes of wax that you place in your ear and have someone light the end. I'm not too sure exactly how it works, but a vacuum is created where earwax and "stuff" inside your ear is sucked out and gets trapped in the candle. Anyways, I just did this, and wow, I feel like I have new ears, much clearer and crisper. At $1.99 per candle, I think this is a great tweak! I would have never thought an improvement to your system would actually be to "clean" out your ears! Has anyone ever tried this? I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's experiences.
