I'm hung up with the setup procedure for my new VSX-52TX. Using componant cables to my HDTV I get no picture on the TV. The componant inputs (cable TV box, DVD player) have been double-checked and are correct, as is the A/V monitor-out cables. I have tried ALL of my TV's signal input settings, yet no video signal and picture.
The supplied manual indicates that one should be presented with an automated set-up screen on the TV, yet I see nothing.
Here's the odd part - the manual indicates that by default, the componant inputs are set to "OFF" and one must manually assign them via the set-up screen on your TV!
The manual does not indicate how to accomplish this task via some combination of button-pushing on the Elite alone.
OK, I'll say it, UNCLE!
Have I overlooked something? Am I thinking like an end-user instead of an engineer or computer programmer?
Pioneer's website offers no help. Calling their "24-hour" toll-free number got me a canned recording that was also of no help.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
