Hello,
I'm new here and would like to gather inputs on epos m5 versus epos m12.
I recently auditioned epos m5 bookshelf speaker paired with muse model 100 power amp/adcom preamp. I auditioned them in my own room and find these set of speakers to sound clear and clean. It felt like I could listen to them for hours and wont get tired / fatigue. Due to this I would like to own them and make them my reference speaker.
On my observation, the only thing lacking is the bass. To describe it better let me barrow a phrase from a post (I hope this is not illegal or something, and I hope I won't get someone offended by doing this)
"it doesn't "thump" enough, if you know what i mean. i like way M5 presents all my music, but sometimes i just feel like there isn't enough "oomph" coming from drums or bass." - by emptystring
I barrow those phrase since I too find the same observation.
Now will the m12 augment the missing "thump" and "oomph"? that is the question.
Will the m12 8ohms impedance make a noticeable difference when it comes bass and weight of the music?
Will the m12 6.5in mid woofer made a difference in delivering bass line from guitars and deep drum beat?
Note: I haven't personally heard the m12, since I haven't schedule a meet up with the store owner. I am comparing this two speakers to evaluate if their price differences are worth spending.
