This is the middle plate in the Pulserod stack. On the left side of the plate is the surface that forms the rear wall of the separate midrange cavity, and a small red circuit board that routes the highpass signals from the two dedicated amplifiers, mounted only inches away on the rear plate. As with the other plates, the cavity features were designed with as much aperiodicity as possible, and there is extensive use of multiple types of damping material, each optimized for its location and function.
