Hello all. I've just recently started using vinyl and I'm probably going to have lots of questions. I hope you will indulge this hapless neophyte. Given the physical contact of needle and groove, how many times can one expect to play a record before terminal degredation sets in. I don't want to digitize since that would be the antithesis of listening to vinyl. I also don't want to "wear out" any prized posession that can't be cheaply, or readily replaced. If I listen to Mingus Ah Um 30 times a year, how often am I going to have to re-buy the same thing? Thanks guys!
