The time has come to configure my first system. My father has been a long time hi-fi enthusiast as well as a dedicated NAD user for the past 30 years. I am 23 so my budget is not to crazy but over the past month I have been able to score some incredible deals on a pair of new B&W CM1's and a Marantz 5004 CD player. My next step is to pick up a solid integrated amplifier.
I have demo'ed the following at my local hi-fi store:
-NAD 326BEE ($499)
-NAD 356BEE ($600) (used) ($800) (new)
-Myryad Integrated Amp ($1,800 - on special down from $3,300)
I have it basically narrowed it down to these three and want to keep the business to this store to support local business so these are the prices I am dealing with as well.
That being said I just need some advice from some more experienced hi-fier's to determine if springing for the Myryad is a good long-term option vs. going with one of the NAD(s) and maybe upgrading down the line. I love the sound from all three and understand trying to compare the quality between the NAD and Myryad is comparing Apples and Oranges but I personally don't know enough about Myryad to know if this is good deal and maybe a better long-term option.
I appreciate any advice/help/knowledge!
Thank You
