1) I'd like to know if these old amplifiers (Lxi & Philips)are of any good compared to new ones nowadays. I know very little about amplifier. So, please kindly explain in layman terms. What are the differences between the new ones and these old ones?
2) I've purchased a pair of Polk audio RTi4 2 days ago. Will it be a waste to match them with these old amp?
3) If they aren't good enough for these speakers. Are they worth discarding? Are there any alternative usage?
4) I'm on a low budget. Is Sonic T-amp a good choice to match these new speakers? I've read a few good review about it, especially for its price quality ratio. But it went up from $23 to almost $80 including shipping nowadays. Why would a dated products go up in price with time? Are they still worth getting for their actual price?
