From Grimm MU2 to Harbeth M40.5 XD2: Harmonia Distribution packs two rooms with heavy hitters

Jeff Coates of Harmonia Distribution presented several systems in its two-room suite in Rockville.

Room one featured a Grimm Audio MU2 media player/streamer/preamplifier ($17,500), a PrimaLuna EVO 400 Tube Preamplifier ($5995), a PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Power Amplifier ($7195), Fyne Audio Vintage Ten floorstanding loudspeakers ($24,499/pair), Fyne Audio SuperTrax supertweeters ($4499/pair), and a Fyne Audio SC1 Premium Cable Kit for the SuperTrax tweeter ($449/pair). A second pair of speakers, Harbeth M40.5 XD2s ($20,990/pair), was also periodically connected..

In room 2, the first system system used an Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 streaming DAC ($859), as a source. Two pairs of loudspeakers alternated: Harbeth NLE-1 active bookshelf speakers ($3790/pair) and Fyne Audio F502SP floorstanders ($6249/pair) with SuperTrax supertweeters ($1299/pair). The passive speakers were driven by a PrimaLuna EVO 200 Tube Integrated Amplifier ($3995). System two in room 2 also used an Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 streaming DAC ($859). This system also had a Pathos Converto Mk2 RR DAC/preamp/headphone amp ($2195), a Pathos AmpliD stereo power amplifier ($1895), and Fyne Audio F1-5 bookshelf loudspeakers ($5499/pair).

All cabling was by Cardas Audio.

But that's not all! Lots of other stuff was on passive display including the Fyne Audio F701SP bookshelf loudspeakers ($8999/pair), Fyne Audio FS8 Speaker Stands ($1750/pair), a PrimaLuna EVO 100 V2 Tube Phonostage ($4495), a PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier ($7195), a Pathos In The Groove MM/MC phono stage ($1995), and a Pathos Aurium headphone amplifier ($1795).
