Since I moved to my new apartment, I was having this feeling that my system is not sounding as good as it used to in my old apartment. I thought that the acoustics in my new place was bad. Yesterday after a long time I plugged in my headphones in my system and I heard some crackling noise through the head phone speakers while pluggin in the headphone. Later I played through my floor standers and wow! it was sounding awsome, as if I had removed my earplugs.
Could someone tell me what is wrong with the headphone socket and why it muffled the high frequencies. And what should I do so that this problem will not occur again.
