Hi there!

my name is Renato and I'm an MSc student at City University London. For our Interaction Design class coursework we have to design a separate that is supposed to connect wirelessly to other devices and play music in streaming.

As it's gonna be meant for an audiophile audience, I need some help from someone who sees himself as an audiophile, has an hi-fi system, and who can give some precious insight to guide our design.

All you have to do is take 5-10 minutes to respond to the questionnaire below (either as a private message or email, renato.fillinich@gmail.com). It is completely anonymous, we will not use your name, we're just interested in your knowledge! :)

Any insight is really appreciated!

1. Warm-up Questions

How old are you?

Male/Female?

Where are you from?

Do you own audio separates? Which ones?

How much did you spend for your current audio equipment?

2. Location

Where is it placed?

(Room; describe the location: Is it close to the couch/dining table/bed; in which height; is there any reason?)

3. Usage

When do you usually use it?

(Which part of the day? How often? Are other people around? Who?...)

In which mood are you when you use it?

4. Other users

Which other person are using it?

Are they using it in the same way you do?

5.About the music

Where do you get your music from?

Which kind of records do you use? (Vinyl, CDs, MP3s...)

6. About the current equipment

What do you like about the separates you own?

What would you like to change at your current devices?

Which feature do you never use?

Thank you very much for your effort, it is really appreciated!

Have a nice day,

Renato
