I have a NAD C368 amp. I am currently using Elac UNI UB5 speakers. I am not pleased with these speakers. Some music sounds great but listening to older rock and roll sound bright and mangled. My ears get fatigued after an hour of listening.
The audio store where I bought NAD C368 has a pretty good selection of speakers.
I have narrowed my choice down to :
Kef R300 bookshelf,
Triangle Comete EZ bookshelf
Monitor Audio Bronze Series 5, 2 1/2 Way Floorstanding.
I am looking for help with the following:
Build quality,
How well will they fill the room with 80watts of power?
Are they direction sensitive?
Room size 16 X 14. Room is carpeted with 8 foot window drapes on speaker wall and 5 foot drapes on side wall.
I am looking for a balanced sound stage.
I know this is a hard question to answer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
