I am looking to put together a nice high end entry level Hi-Fi system before I leave home for good and end up in that living on my own but too broke to buy anything nice phase of my life.  I want a system that has a full sound stage, can be played loud with seemingly little effort, and preferably small enough that I can ship it across seas for less than my first born.  Idealy I want all the main components to be less that 5k.  I can always add on a DAC and other fun stuff later.

In my reasearch I have peiced together some ideas for components.

A tube amp is a must for me.

Rouge Audio Metris Magnum Preamp - $1500

Rouge Audio Atlas Magnum Power amp - $2000  (90 wpc)

is 90wpc enough to get someone to call the cops?

I am looking at the B&W 600 series but not sure which combination... either the

683 Tower lound speaker with recomended amp input of 25-200w  $1500 (pair)

685 bookshelf with recomended amp input of 25-100 $650 (pair)

Both have the same sound distrubution angles but the tower speaker has a bottom frequency of 30hz while the bookshelf only goes down to 42 hz.  I plan to have and woofer so this should not be of concern, right?

My questions are will the larger speaker not be as loud with the amps given limits and

will the larger speaker provide fuller sound with the given amp?

The bookshelf offers portability while the tower speaker offers presumably larger and better sound, latter amp upgrades, and dead sexy looks. Does the price and size of the larger speaker justify itself?

Idealy I could find 190wpc or so power amp and pre amp used for less than $3500 If anyone has any sugestions for that.

What would be the best subwoofer match for this set up? There are 3 options.

ASW 610 xp 500w  $1200

ASW 610  200w $650

ASW 608 200w $500

Which would be the best pairing for the

tower speakers with say a 190w amp

tower peakers with the 90w of the amp listed above

bookshelf speakers with the 90w listed above

Then probably a Rega RP1 turntable

Then I was thinking about a Mucic Fidelity M1 DAC $700, perhaps a usb soundcard and maybe an ac stabilizer.  What are the recomendations for a good buget sound card?

Do they make a voltage stabilizer that is not to terbily expensive but will also work on 110v and 210v?

Sugestions much appriciated.
