My current setup is:
PSB Imagine T's
entry-level Transparent speaker cables, I think the Wave
NAD C 375BEE integrated amp w/ the modular DAC
Transparent usb cord from macbook to the DAC
and my music (all ripped at redbook quality, or downloaded in high rez) on a synology 712+
I'm wanting to put about 2-3K into this (closer to 2K would make the wife happier :-) )... I'd especially like to increase clarity/resolution and soundstage. I was thinking that I should get a seperate DAC (I've had trouble finding comparisons between the modular dac and anything else, but I'm assuming that it's my bottleneck). Of course I'll be auditioning whatever I eventually go for, but I wanted to see if you guys thought I was on the right track, or if I'm missing something obvious...
