The router output and usb outputs of my PC are 25 ft. from my audio system. I have several hi-rez files, some @ 24/192. I want to start streaming.
I'm thinking I could run 25 ft. of ethernet cable out of the router into the back of an Oppo. Or I could run a usb cable out of the PC into the back of the Musical Fidelity VLink192 with a 25 ft. run of low loss coaxial cable into a DAC. The Oppo & the DAC will be digitally connected to the amp. My question to everybody is which would give me the the less loss of qualy of my files, the eternet cable or the coaxial cable? Or should I buy a Windows based IPad and run hard drives from nearer the system. If so, how?
