My daughter and I are looking to get in on some of this hifi action, but don't have much money. I found a local with a Yamaha YP-B2 turntable with a CR-820 receiver for $350. I may have some room to haggle and he said he'd throw in a 10-15 year old pair of Bose 201s for $25. I am wondering if we shouldn't just buy a decent Denon/Teac/Audio Technica turntable so that I can hook it up to my 20-year old RCA receiver. I'd honestly rather go vintage and don't know how long it might be until I can afford decent speakers and amplifier. Any tips would be appreciated.
