I just want to bring some attention to Judith Durham, who I think has one of the best voices I have ever heard, period. She is magnificent.
She rarely performs outside of her native Australia, or occasionally in Britain, and many of her recordings have not been available in the USA until recently. This, unfortunately, has kept her from being well-known in the USA.
Those of us who are old enough will remember her as the lead singer for The Seekers, who did such songs as "Georgy Girl" "There Will Never Be Another You" "All Over This World" and "The Carnival is Over".
Amazon now has her wonderful double CD album "Live in London" from 2003 at a low price, and also her 70th Anniversary "Platinum Album", which includes a lot of material that has never been released outside of Australia, spanning her 50-year career. One listen and you will be a Judith Durham fan.
Both of these albums will astonish you with her effortless virtuosity and stunningly powerful voice, which never seems to have any limit.
