Someone (Elk?) mentioned not getting "imaging" in a live performance like one can in some stereo recordings. I was going to agree but I came home tonight from listening to a live Balinese gamelan performance. It was all acoustic - no amplification - and involved 16-17 musicians (not counting the dancers). Loud as hell! The musicians were spread across about 30 feet of stage. I was in row F, maybe 30 feet from stage. I admit that usually when I hear all acoustic music, it is usually a solo performer or small group (rarely orchestras). But I'll eat my hat if I ever hear a stereo that can "image" to approximate tonight's live experience. Whoa!
