Hello,
I'm making the return to vinyl and piecing together my first high end system. I need some advice regarding the interconnect length between my turntable and amp. Due to room constraints I'd like to place the table on a wall mount which would necessitate a 16 to 18 foot cable run but I'm concerned about sound degradation. I have an ok quality Monster Cable on hand but could upgrade to something better if need be. I did look into a Kimber Kable PBJ which would cost ~ $235.00 for the proper length but would rather avoid the expense unless it's necessary. Additionally I would need to run a ground wire with the Kimber. The table is a Pro-ject Xpression II with a soon to be purchased Dynavector 10X5 cartridge. The amp is a Rega Mira III. So I guess the bottom line is, how can I make this run without signal loss? Thanks.
