What I want to build:
Turntable, headphone amp, headphones system
Why:
So I can sit and listen to amazing albums WITH my wife :-)
When:
NOW
Types of Music:
All kinds BUT soft spot for Hard Rock, Rock, Jazz, Metal, Classical, Live albums
Budget:
$10,000
Why am I here?
Because I just spent the last 4 weeks reading the internet on whats best and have realized this is just like the "cork sniffing" guitar industry I am in LOL.
Initial Thoughts:
VPI Traveler Turntable
Sennheiser HD 600's or 800's (had a soft spot years ago for the inexpensive Sony MDRV6's as we used those in recording sessions ALOT)
totally thrown on the headphone amp thing...definitely want tube though...at least I think I do. Maybe the Eddie Current Balancing Act but not sure of that has the ability for 2 sets of headphones.
