Hi there,

I want to use my grandpa's old loudspeakers / amp etc. However I can't work how to power the speakers / hook things up..

On the back of each there is one male XLR socket and on one of them black/red speaker lead sockets. The speakers are Rogers Studio 1. I can't work out how you power them, obviously they are passive speakers.. no signs of power connections

The amp and pre-amp that came with the setup (Quad 34 and Quad 405-2) have no XLR connections..

I would like to put my turntable (phono outs) through them. Possibly my mixer as well so I can hook up my computer too.

Please can someone resolved my newbieness.
