Hello all!
A am new to this forum, and new in a world of Hi-Fi! My name is Niko, and I am from Slovenia. First of all, sorry for my bad english. I will try my best to write it right.
I own Wharfedale diamond 9.2 speakers, Pioneer DV600 dvd/cd player, and Yamaha RX-497 AV amp. Now, when I play a CD, the sound is very warm, bass is too loud, and it boost a lot. I think that a Wharfedale 9.2 speakers (86 db, 6 ohm) are just too difficult for Yamaha RX-497 to run them well. And of course DV600 is not an ideal cd sound source. I am thinking to get me a new amp and a new cd player! So here I am: Marantz pm 7001 + Marantz cd6002, or NAD c352 + NAD c542.
Now, I know that NAD c352 is more powerfull, and it can run Diamond's 9.2 better, but it is not the power I am looking for, it is a good nice sound, not too warm, less bass, no boost. I am looking for detail, clear sound. And of course, Wharfedale speakers are not the main element of my system, I can get other, Monitor Audio, or something else.
Here are the specs of my room:

As you can see, it is...
far from ideal, but it is the only room I can put my hi-fi in.
So what do you think? What system to get?
Thank you for your answers!
Niko
