Well, I have had my Marantz SA-10 for a year or so now, and I had expected Stereophile to review it and confirm what I am hearing: for the very first time ever, FLAWLESS sound from CDs and SACDs!!!!!

In My Opinion, this machine is revolutionary.
I have a very good system (Audio Research/Vandersteen/Musical Fidelity), and I have been searching and buying CD players from $1000 to $10,000 for 20 years, and always ultimately been disappointed in the sound quality.
Even those rated A+ (those that I listened to) by Stereophile could not equal the sound from my old vinyl records, even though it was sometimes fairly good.
This one is in a whole different class. It has no equal that I know of. Perfect sound forever? I think we have arrived, Toto.
My CDs and SACDs have never sounded so breathtakingly open and lifelike; what a revelation.
