Monoprice, which has always provided high quality pure copper speaker wires, has now also introduced the cheap crappy copper-clad-aluminum (CCA) wire.
For example, Monoprice #2791 is still PURE COPPER 14 gauge speaker wire, and is suitable for ALL speakers and amplifiers.
Monoprice #2747 is 12 gauge pure copper speaker wire, and costs less than $20 for 50 feet. I have compared this to cables costing thousands of dollars, and no cable I have tried has ever sounded better.
On the other hand, the Monoprice #14917 is the cheap crappy CCA, which you DO NOT WANT.
