Hello everybody, I'm looking to build a stereo
I got some speakers from my neighbor which are each made of 2 12" subs, a mid, and a high. The only problem is that the woofers are blown pretty bad, so I need to find some subs for them. Only one sub in each box is powered and the other one I guess is powered by the air in the box. Would it be better for me to make them both powered or should I only power one? I found some car subs for cheap on ebay but they can handle 600w each. Would it be bad for me to hook those up to a reciever that makes about 200-300 watts?
Well if I get the speakers working well then I need a reciever. I will be using the stereo for music in my garage so I do not need 5.1 or anything like that just a simple stereo system. How many watts should I get for each channel?
What I've found so far was this:
Speakers - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-New-12-...sspagenameZWDVW
Receiver - http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC-Stereo-Receiver-...1QQcmdZViewItem
Thanks in advance.
