Just got back yesterday and it was a great show as usual! And for the rock lovers out there (like sir DUP) you'd love it too. Loads of straight up rock, blues, gospel and everything in between! Plus a city full of great food after (and more music at night of course).

For the vinyl lover it's like a big candy store for kids! You hearing this Stephen? I went into a used record store (actually 2 floors of books, one of records) and got myself 40(!) mint condition classical albums for an average of $3!!! Yeah, 3 bucks for albums that looked barely played and almost all either high-fi British, German or Dutch pressings! When my stack was about 8" high and weighed about 30 lbs I finally just had to stop or I'd have to pull up a van to the shop, hahah. Luckily I had extra room in the suitcase, although the bastard airlines charged me another $50 bucks for the extra weight. Still- all told it ends up being $4 per record, not a bad take! A few doors down was another music store (cds and records this time) with an incredible selection of rock, blues jazz and New Orleans funk. That was last years big shopping spree. Others are around the city too. I'll hit those guys next year I guess...

Faves of show: Marcia Ball, Diana Krall, Trombone Shorty and an incomparable Diane Reeves. Man, she is the real deal- never heard anyone who could sing and improvise like that. Must have been a taste of what Ella Fitzgerald was like...
