So I am sitting hear listening to Black Sabbath's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath on a new release from Rhino Vinyl. It's 180g vinyl cut from the original masters. What a difference.
I have listened to this recording 100s of times as Sabbath is probably my all time favorite band but with this new pressing it feels like it's the first I am listening to it. The sound is full and detailed. It has a bottom end I have never heard before. I can understand lyrics I have never been able to understand.
This record more than any other has been a problem as I have never been able to find a CD that sounds good and the record I purchased previously was an awful sounding Warner Brothers release. Pops, cracks and this awful hollowness is what I am used to hearing even on the CD. it has always been unsattisfying to listen to.
This might be my happiest moment as an audiophile.
