Hi all,
I am a complete newbie and novice to all of this so please forgive my ignorance.
I have recently converted my entire cd collection into a lossless format which was a mammoth task! Having purchased some over ear headphones, I noticed that a fair few tracks have 'grain' or 'static' blips in them, not all the way through, just in certain areas.
Assuming it was the rip, I tried re-ripping those particular tracks at lower speeds but to no avail. I then listened to the original cd on my pc and hi-fi and noticed that the static was still there!
My question is, have I just been unlucky and picked up a few duff CD's, or is it common for the original cd recording to have flaws?
Again I am a novice to this so please be gentle :)
Thanks all,
Jon
