Hi Everyone!
I have been looking at getting into vinyl for a while now, and have decided to finally take the plunge. While I am a complete amateur when it comes to hi-fi knowledge/lingo/jargon, I have demo'd a lot of turntables and speakers and would consider myself to have a very discerning ear. From my listening experiences and price point, I have already decided on two parts of the system I am hoping to build. But I really would love the expertise of this great community to help fill in the gaps!
What I have decided on:
LP Player: Rega RP3
Floorstanding Speakers: Elac Debut F6s
Budget for REST OF system: $1000-1400
Other than that, I have no idea what else to fill the system with. Unfortunately, I can't really have a dedicated music listening setup, so I would love your advice to keep in mind that I hope to use my system for home entertainment purposes as well (apple TV and blu-ray player). A lot of my buddies tell me that a receiver at this price point would not stand up to an independent amp like the Rega Brio. So perhaps there's a way I can cheaply setup an HDMI switcher and still route sound to a nice phono stage or amp or something? I have no idea how to approach the rest of this setup, so I would greatly appreciate recommendations!
