I have owned the BDP-83SE since it was released. It has served me well and should continue to do so, at least potentially as a transport. I was thinking of changing things up a little and adding in a Benchmark DAC-1 USB to the system to bypass the Sabre Ultra ES9016 DAC's. I would then be wiring the DAC-1 into my Ayre Acoustics AX-7e amp. Has anyone attempted similar upgrades? Bad or good?
