I'm looking for good outdoor speakers, but no one around me carries any of the models I'm interested in.

Does anyone have experience with any of the following?

Monitor Audio CL80
KEF Ventura 6
Definitive Technology AW 6500
Klipsch AW 650

They're all similar enough in price that the cost is no object.

They'll be mounted in a covered patio, to probably a little TEAC integrated amp, playing through AirTunes.

They don't need to be very loud, I'm looking more for sound quality (I prefer not to add a sub, though I do use subs with all my indoor two channel setups).

For what it's worth, my main stereo has Klipsch Heresys, which I love. I also have a pair of PSB Imagine Minis for desktop listening, which are very nice; while I love the clarity, after a while I find them too "crisp" and "mechanical" compared to the Klipsches. And I've recently set up a "library stereo" with KEF LS50s, which I find quite amazing; I particularly like how velvety smooth the sound is. A friend has some Monitor Audio Bronze towers; I like them ok, but I do find them a bit boring.

I listen mainly to classical and old country.

My worry with the Definitive Technology is that I've read a couple of reviews that say they have a similar sound to modern Bose. I'm also a bit worried about contemporary mass market Klipsch (my understanding is the high end stuff is still good—not sure where these outdoor speakers stand).

If anyone has any experience with the above speakers, and especially if you've heard more than one of them, I'd be grateful for your thoughts, or other recommendations in the <$500 range.

Thanks & Peace,
Christopher
