Hi everybody, this is my first post, but I've been looking through the site for a while. It's good to see a forum for "entry level", and the best is that people really help and welcome the newbies.
I'm from Brazil, but I'm planning to go to the USA next year, and I hope I can bring a nice system for playing vinyls. I'm 29 years old, and vinyls are no news to me, but I've never heard it through a decent system. I'm on a budget, so I decided to go with a pre-amp and powered monitor speakers. I don't have much space either, it will be set in the guest bedroom in my apartment.
So, here is what I'm thinking:

-Turntable: Rega RP1, "upgraded" with a AT95E cartridge (maybe with a AT95SA)
-Speakers: M-Audio Studiophile AV 40
-Pre-amp: Audio-Technica AT-PEQ3
-Cables: Monster StudioLink RCA Balanced Line Cable Pair (turntable to pre-amp) and Monster StudioLink RCA to 1/4" Balanced Line Cable Pair (pre-amp to speakers)

I live in a place close to a lot of radio antennas, that's why I'm thinking on spending a little on quality cables, that can isolate from interferences.

Any comments/thoughts/concerns about this setup?

Thanks in advance!
