Hi, I have the Goldenear Triton Ones along with the Marantz 8802a preamp. I am having a hard time deciding what amp to purchase to use with these speakers. I have been using a vintage Hafler Transnova 9500 series, but unfortunately it lost the right channel, and I can't find anybody to repair it. So it is time for an upgrade. I have been considering 3 different amps. I first looked at the ATI 6002 which has excellent reviews from a few different places, even comparing it against amps that cost over 10 grand. There biggest complaint is the lack of audio jewelry. Next I am looking at the Parasound JC1. Which all reviews have been very positive including Stereophiles review. My only concern is that unit has been around a long time, and wondering if Parasound will change there lineup anytime soon. Next is PS Audio BHK 300 Stereophiles review was good , but not steller, compared to the JC1 mono blocks. I know for sure I want mono blocks for my system. The ATI is considered a true dual mono design, but in a single chassis. Supposedly it is 2 separate amps even 2 power cords and separate power supplies in one chassis. It even has 2 separate breakers on the back of the unit.I don't know if you lose anything by not being in a separate chassis? It is also different for the fact that it is a modular design, not the normal traditional design amp. So I don't know if that is a pro or a con. Hopefully someone can elaborate on this as well. So I appreciate any help I can get to make the right decision. Hopefully even Stereophile will chime in with there opinion. Thanks for the help. Audiophileman.
