Thanks to all of you who take the time to answer questions. I am well-versed in the audio components & sound quality, but know little about current products. I have picky audiophile sound taste but just approx $10k budget, so looking for advice on best combo.

I am upgrading my current home theater's audio system. I have a Pioneer Elite (Elite's bottom-of-line model from 2009, 110w/channel to 7 channels) that works fine -- I just route all 4k video signals directly to the TV rather than thru the receiver (which only handles HD). I have five small Energy speakers from 15 years ago.

I like Dynaudio speaker sound & build quality for my bright room (approx 16' wide x 30' long) whose walls, floor, & high ceiling are all hard surfaces. I sit in center of room about 13' from 75" TV that extends out from wall 3'. Was considering Dynaudo "Contour C25" ($2800) for center (primary system use is movies) and "Excite X38" ($3k/pr) for front-sides (will listen to music much more with new system!). Or may wait to hear the new Dynaudio "Evoke" speakers coming out soon. Planned on reusing my existing old Energy speakers for Surround & Rear, to give a 7.1 system. I have high-frequency hearing loss, so tend to prefer brighter treble but room is so bright already. ANY COMMENTS ON SPEAKER SETUP?

How to power these speakers properly? Considering using my old Pioneer's preamp-outs to a new 3-channel power amplifier, and using the Pioneer's internal amps for the four rear speakers. But I have no idea if this is a good setup. ANY ADVICE ON BEST WAY TO PREAMP & POWER THESE SPEAKERS WITHIN BUDGET?

If it makes a huge difference, I can increase budget a little....
