Audio writer Steve Guttenberg found this 1958 LP in a friend's collection, recorded by Stereophile founder J. Gordon Holt. Gordon was a bg proponent of Richard Dyer-Bennet and soon after I joined Stereophile in 1986, he played me the master tape for this album. I remember it as being well-recorded. But as Steve asks, why is Dyer-Bennet wearing a tux?
